Candle Safety

The ways in which a candle burns are affected by several factors including size and
shape of candle, wick, scent & temperature/draft in the room, etc. Avoid burning candles
near any drafts, to prevent rapid and uneven burning and excessive dripping. Candles
will fade if left in the light for an extended period.

Never leave a burning candle un-attended. Keep away from children and pets.

Avoid burning pilar candles within 2.5inches / 6.35cm of each other. Avoid burning
candles near combustible materials.

Don’t drop debris, like matches or wick trimmings, into the wax.

To achieve the perfect burn, always allow your candle to completely liquefy across the
top before blowing it out to avoid tunneling. We recommend using our candle snuffer to
extinguish the candle flame.

Before each burn, make sure your wick is trimmed to ¼ inch (0.25in) / 6.35mm or
0.63cm. We recommend using our candle hook and candle trimmer to trim the wick.

Don’t place your burning candle on sensitive or uneven surfaces. To avoid melted wax
damaging the surface it is on, we recommend placing the candle on one of our candle
holders, which you can find HERE.

Discontinue burning your candle when about ¼ inch (0.25in) / 6.35mm or 0.63cm of wax
remains.

Do not put burning candles under shelves. It is easy to forget that there’s a lot of heat
above a burning candle. Do not put burning candles near curtains or other fabrics or
furniture.
